Stacie Steel of Dover, OH, is among 66 high school students who have been awarded Presidential Scholarships to Bryan College for the 2011-12 academic year.

Presidential Scholarships are awarded on the basis on high school grades, college entrance examination scores and an essay. In addition, Presidential Scholars compete for a limited number of Presidential Merit Scholarships, the highest academic award Bryan offers. Presidential Merit Scholars are chosen following an interview with faculty members.

Stacie, daughter of Terry and Colleen Steel of Dover, plans to major in Music: Piano Pedagogy.

Bryan is a four-year Christian liberal arts college offering bachelor's degrees in 18 areas. The college has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report for 16 consecutive years as being among the Top Tier of Southern comprehensive colleges.
