Christina Corwin Inducted Into Honor Society at Bryan College

2013 Apr 26

Christina Corwin of Lenoir City, TN, was among five students inducted into the Bryan College chapter of Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society recently, recognizing their achievement in the business major.

Sigma Beta Delta, an international honor society, exists to encourage and recognize scholarship and achievement among students in business, management and administration. Membership, by nomination of faculty chapter officers, is open to juniors and seniors in the top 20 percent of their class.

Dr. William Lay, chapter president, pointed out that election to lifetime membership in Sigma Beta Delta is the highest honor a business student can receive in an undergraduate or Master's program. There are more than 30,000 members worldwide.

Christina, daughter of Todd and Marilyn Corwin, was among those inducted.

Bryan President Dr. Stephen D. Livesay told the students they are to be "commended for rising to the top of your class. I'm impressed with the leadership you already have exhibited, the internships you will have this summer, among them two banking internships in Europe. I'm even more excited about what you will take with you when you graduate and the contributions you will make in society."

Bryan is a Christian liberal arts college offering bachelor's degrees in 22 areas and Master's degrees in Business Administration and Christian Studies. The college has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report for 17 consecutive years as being among the Top Tier of Southern liberal arts colleges.
