Andrew Wilber of Columbia Cross Roads Joins Bryan College's Break for Change in Latvia

Andrew Wilber of Columbia Cross Roads, PA is one of nine Bryan College students spending their spring break working to make a difference in the lives of young people in Latvia.

Andrew, son of Rebecca Wilber of Columbia Cross Roads is part of Break for Change, a program that encourages Bryan students to spend their spring break, March 5-12, ministering in cross-cultural situations. Teams this year will be serving in Detroit, Mich.; Nashville, Tenn.; Opelousas, La.; San Diego, Calif.; Managua, Nicaragua; and Limbazie, Latvia.

Danielle Rebman, Bryan's Break for Change coordinator, said the Latvia team will work with a church in Limbazie which has a particular emphasis on reaching unchurched youth in the city.

Andrew and teammates will divide into three groups to work with local young people to write, storyboard and film stories which will be screened at the end of the week. The Bryan students also will assist with English language classes..

Bryan is a four-year Christian liberal arts college offering bachelor's degrees in 18 areas. The college has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report for 16 consecutive years as being among the Top Tier of Southern comprehensive colleges.
